Here one can think both of the neurological diseases such as depression, ADHD, borderline, Parkinson’s, burnout, etc., which dominate the entire pathological scene, and of the “decade of the brain”, which has now been going on for about 20 years and has entailed an unprecedented development of brain research; and finally, the technical and technological developments associated with this research also fall into this period. The upper title is a reminiscence of the well-known book of poems by Durs Grünbein (1991, Schädelbasislektionen. Frankfurt/M.: Suhrkamp).
