This article attempts to elaborate a theory of Bildung from a phenomenological perspective that takes the experience of withdrawal and the event character of experiencess in learning and practising as its starting point. Nietzsche, Husserl, Heidegger, Marion, and Fink are taken as starting points for thinking of world and questioning the truth of reality beyond of its metaphysical and technical determinations. The author argues that in negative experiences in learning and practicing, the negativity of the world manifests itself in a mundane event of experience and at the same time withdraws itself from these experiences. With Husserl’s anticopernican determination of the world as lifeworld and earth, Heidegger’s determination of worldliness as ‘Existential’ and Finks double negativity of experiencing, an outlook on a mundane theory of Bildung is given.
