Why and how agility enables companies to achieve and sustain success has been discussed in detail in the previous chapters. Along the way, we’ve emphasized that there is no universal step-by-step guide—each team and organization must define their own goals and forge their own path. Your journey to agility is unique. Define your objectives and establish a way of working that aligns with your specific needs. That being said, we want to provide you with some practical approaches to help you begin anchoring agility within your company or marketing department. More importantly, we encourage you to think about the impact you want to achieve with agility: Which levels of impact can you address to create the greatest possible benefit for your organization? In Chap. 6 , we explored the levels of impact that marketing can have on an organization, followed by a deep dive into the tools and methods commonly used in agile work. Now, we turn our attention to the critical question of how agility can take root in marketing organizations and, even more importantly, how it can be continuously cultivated and improved to maximize its benefits across all levels of impact. Great transformations often begin with small steps. In this chapter, we aim to give you that initial boost. From here, the path forward is about learning through experience, experimentation, and collaboration. By starting small and building momentum, you can create a lasting foundation for agility that evolves and grows over time.
