Practice of Interdisciplinary Quarter Development and Management Using the Example of the Spinelli Conversion Area in Mannheim
摘要
The previously mentioned interdisciplinary cooperation in the planning and implementation phase of the Spinelli quarter was characterized by open and respectful collaboration. The planning commission included representatives from the administration of various municipal departments and project groups, parties represented in the Mannheim city parliament, as well as external experts from the fields of urban and spatial planning, building ecology, architecture, landscape planning, and social sciences. Interdisciplinarity and interdisciplinary work is relevant when expertise from several different disciplinary perspectives is necessary to understand and grasp complicated interrelationships and interconnections in larger and complex systems.
