In the planning of newly emerging urban quarters, the anticipation of community development to be promoted by the design of the quarter, the occupancy of the apartments, and the infrastructure equipment should play a central role. The factors to be considered in this context are the subject of the following explanations. Using the example of the development of the Spinelli conversion areas in Mannheim, socio-ecological aspects are also considered from a sustainability perspective.
