Users face countless situations in which their data is disclosed. Once this data is made available to others, users lose their sovereignty over it. Third parties can access, process, and use the data for their own purposes. This could have negative consequences for the original data owners. In this work, we use two different scenarios to demonstrate possible risks originating from the loss of data sovereignty and present approaches how to mitigate those risks.
