As a rule, it is necessary that all temporary modifications compared to the Aeronautical Information Publication AIP/IFR/VFR are published in the form of NOTAM. In some cases, especially in Referring to specific AIP publications such as Supplements, so-called “Trigger-NOTAM” are issued to mark special publications. Supplements can cover various aspects, including the introduction of new IFR approach procedures, airspace restrictions, or extensive construction projects that occur at the airfield over a significant period. NOTAMs that have a validity period of more than 3 months should be included in the AIP.
