This concluding chapter gathers the key findings of the chapters on the political culture and attitudes on migration, citizenship regime and representation of migrants in receiving country politics and discusses these findings with regard to the research question and research objectives of this study. Thereafter, it connects the study’s results to the theoretical propositions in the literature and mentions the contribution this study makes to the respective literature. After presenting the limitations of the study, it concludes with a few remarks and recommendations for future scholarly work on immigrant political incorporation and political transnationalism.
