This chapter deals with didactic models for teaching and physical education. Based on  considerations about the complexity of teaching processes, four general didactic models are presented: the educational -theoretical didactics, the learning -theoretical didactics, the communicative didactics, and the constructivist didactics. Building on this, four sport  didactic models are described: the planning didactics, the implementation didactics, the evaluation didactics, and the competence-oriented didactics. An excursion into precursors of sports didactic models complements the chapter.
