How do you Research Belonging?—Dealing with the Diversity of existing Categories. Georgian-speaking Ingiloys in Azerbaijan
摘要
The article deals with the question of the methodological approach in social anthropological research and investigates how the research perspective was developed and structured. Using empirical research materials in the context of multiple belongings and the minority status of the Ingiloys in Azerbaijan in relation to their own citizenship, it is shown which specific categories were found in the “field” and which categories accompanied the interpretation process. In addition, it is described how and why various categories (identity-presenting attributions and self-descriptions) were formed at all and how this diversity was handled.
