Conclusion and Outlook

As regularly accentuated within this thesis and stated in a recent review on C–H activation, achieving “novel and highly selective transformations under exceedingly mild reaction conditions, in particular with the aid of less toxic Earth-abundant 3d transition metal catalysis”[45], belongs to the numerous challenges that the C–H activation strategy has to surpass. The projects presented in this thesis addressed this obstacle, merging different aspects of green chemistry.
