The Two-Level Game Approach in Contested Territory
摘要
The introduction of the essential analytical concepts of the 2LG has so far been possible without locating the position the approach occupies on the contested territory of international relations theory. However, even if a discussion of the theoretical foundations of the approach has purposefully been omitted until this point, some of the concepts introduced evidently demand a closer examination thereof. A discussion of the assumptions underlying the 2LG becomes necessary at this point to address its discussed deficits in conceptual rigor and guidance.
