When order is disrupted for human or natural reasons, human imagination and cultural resources of all kinds are often used to overcome the crisis-like and unusual and to create new world scenarios and forms of normality. In crisis situations, narratives and discourses are used to come to terms with the disrupted order and invent a more stable future. Media, literature, film production, music and popular culture contribute to the creation of a new normality in the sense of familiarization and acceptance, transformation and adaptation, struggle and resilience. The narrative shaping of existential crises and the associated forms of resilience are connected to the cultural process of production of meaning and shaping the world. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was possible to observe precisely how a new order of reality was created and orchestrated narratively and discursively. This article explores pandemic-related transformations in narratives and discourses of resilience. The focus is precisely on the investigation of forms and possibilities of the discursive and narrative structuring of reality and the invention of a secure future.
