Foundations: Underlying Concepts of this Research

With the goal of this research to develop a holistic understanding of how workspace changes can be managed, this chapter starts with introducing workspace concepts from two angles: First, workspace concepts and their origin in WPM research and second, workspace concepts when situated in OT. By applying an ODC lens to holistically understand the management of workspace changes, the Foundations of ODC are described. In Sect. 2.2.2, the foundations for understanding ODC as a Continuous Process are provided. Finally, integrating WPM research and OT by applying ODC as a research lens, an Integrated, Dynamic View of Workspace Changes is provided.
