Conceptual Framework and Research Strategy

This chapter presents the conceptual framework and research strategy. Firstly, it identifies gaps in the literature outlined in the previous two chapters, aiming to contribute to their closure through the thesis. Concrete research questions are derived for this purpose. Before delving into how these questions will be addressed through the three empirical studies, theoretical considerations are presented to guide this process. This includes an exploration of the understanding of value and considerations regarding the concept of privacy for the subsequent studies. Finally, methodological considerations for researching privacy attitudes are explained, and the analytical approach is outlined. The analysis of the sensitive issue of privacy makes additional considerations necessary.
