Methods

The animals used for this Master thesis were kept under the conditions given according to §11 of the animal protection law. The experimental animals were kept in an open cage system with a maximum population of 4 animals per cage (cage type IV). In the closed and darkened rooms, a light-dark rhythm of 12/12 hours was artificially induced, with twilight phases in between.
