Building Block 3: Partitioning
摘要
A new division of labor (partitioning) as a result of restructuring can best support the company in achieving its strategic and operational goals. In the specific design, the new structure should be aligned with the company’s strategy. In the operational area, the new organization should be built around topics and not around individuals. Furthermore, the success of the restructuring depends on the proper sizing of the organization with regard to current and future challenges. A crucial question in this context is the clarification of make or buy. In an increasingly specialized and divided world of work, the management of current and future core competencies is of great importance. These core competencies must not be outsourced under any circumstances. Conversely, the absence of or the inability to quickly develop core competencies can halt the restructuring project at the outset or necessitate a realistic adjustment of the restructuring goals.
