Research Design and Methodology

This chapter explains how I operationalised the theoretical framework laid out in Chaps. 2 and 3 and elaborates on why I chose the Arab Gulf region and the three cities as my research context. Then, it presents the bodies of data on which the book's analysis rests as well as the methods I used for assembling and analysing them.
