(Gender)Identities between Stereotyping and Hybridization
摘要
The article examines gender roles and gender concepts in Twin Peaks, initially analyzing selected scenes or sequences in which female characters are particularly portrayed in a stereotypical manner (2.1), to subsequently ask to what extent the four aspects: series within the series (2.2), characters who fall out of their gender roles (2.3), female speech (2.4), and unstable (gender) identity concepts (2.5) contribute to a destabilization of binaries and thus to a (gender) hybridization or a decentering of subject concepts.
