Beyond Technology. Our New Life with IT
摘要
Digitalization is far more than the establishment of technical infrastructure and the automation of processes. It is also a large social experiment that leads people into the age of “post-sociality,” in which personal interaction is increasingly replaced by interaction with computers and through computers. The result is a kind of second socialization. It takes place gradually through our participation in social networks, but also in working life or political behavior, in our way of obtaining information, and even in our dealings with love and sex. Our perception of the world is influenced by digitalization, in many areas even shaped by it. These processes and their mechanisms are described using practical examples, and the core concepts of the underlying techniques, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data, are explained.
