This article offers a meta-reflection on the research project “Virtual Reality for Holocaust Education.” The interdisciplinary nature necessitated careful methodological choices to navigate technological advancements while preserving historical integrity. We aim to shed light on our decision-making process, examining our research design transparently and critically. The article starts by explaining “meta-reflection” and its relevance to Holocaust Education research. It outlines our project’s design and the proposed articles, discussing the forces behind our research choices and the challenges of interdisciplinary dialogue. The paper also addresses biases and limitations encountered, stressing the need for transparency and critical self-reflection in academic discourse. This exploration contributes to the discourse on VR in Holocaust Education and offers insights for future interdisciplinary research, highlighting the importance of methodological transparency and ethical educational practices.
