Conclusion

This book attempts to shed light on the role of fans in soccer and to show innovative ways in which member clubs can deal constructively with fans, especially the active fan scene, from a club management perspective. It is obvious that this is quite a big challenge, especially as the active fan scene in particular has no interest in institutional integration by definition but sees itself as a self-sufficient subculture that obeys its own rules. The following chapter summarizes the most important aspects of how to cooperate with fan clubs from a management perspective.
