Structural Measures for the Integration of Fan Clubs in Member Clubs

Members’ clubs are characterized by features, first and foremost that the sports club is wholly or at least predominantly owned by the members themselves and they therefore have a say. At the same time, developments in soccer make it necessary to manage sports clubs according to modern regulations. Issues such as sustainability, anti-discrimination, and diversity, as well as good governance and commercialization, make the management of a sports club a multidimensional task and include the management of formal and informal relationships with the various stakeholder groups.
