Basic Attitude of Faith as Approach to Islam
摘要
This article examines the question of which subject-specific competences Islamic religious education teachers in North-Rhine Westphalia (NRW) show empirically. The selected results are based on a quantitative study in which, in addition to the theological competencies, the didactic competences, motivational orientations, and beliefs of the teachers were examined (Kamçılı-Yıldız, Between the Transmission of Faith and Reflexivity. A Quantitative Study on the Professional Competences of Islamic Religious Education Teachers, Waxmann, Münster, 2021). At first, the article describes the conception of the competency structure model, which combines the methodology of empirical educational science with Islamic religious education. When considering the measurement instrument, the focus is placed on the subject-specific competences. Selected results of this competence area will first be considered descriptively and then discussed with regard to ideas of professionalization in religious education.
