Fundamentals of Nonlinear RF Technology

In radio frequency electronics, the simple statement can be made that every circuit is nonlinear. This chapter starts with a description of the phenomena that occur in electronics due to non-linear effects. Components with non-linear effects are then described analytically. Furthermore, the simulation technology used in the microwave range for the integration of non-linear effects is described in detail. The mixed-frequency S-parameters are then introduced and their measurement technology and use explained. The derivation of the X-parameters is also included in this chapter. In the application part of this chapter, the harmonic radar is discussed in detail in addition to the IM measurements.
