Scattering of ElectromagneticWaves at Radar Targets

  • Holger Heuermann

摘要

In general, the exact analytical description of the backscattering behavior of radar targets, such as ships and airplanes, is an intractable problem. However, many radar targets, such as raindrops or the level in a tank, can be analytically captured quite well by idealized targets, such as spheres or infinitely extended metallic planes. The aim of this chapter is to give a description of idealized radar targets.
