German-Chinese Cooperation in Standardization
摘要
As part of the German-Chinese cooperation at the governmental level, a working group has been dealing with standardization since 2006. The German-Chinese Commission on Standardization (DCKN) emerged from this working group in 2011, with its current focus topics being electromobility, industrial automation and autonomous and connected driving. Also relevant to the topic of German cooperation with China in standardization is the CEN-CENELEC Task Force on China, which aims to facilitate exchange with China at the European level. The highlight of the cooperation in standardization so far is the German-Chinese Working Group “Standardization Strategy” established in 2019. China’s increased involvement in standardization is associated with a number of challenges in terms of cooperation. German experts involved in standardization advocate for the continuation and expansion of the cooperation and the continuation of Germany’s decade-long important role in standardization in key technologies and their development in strategic future technologies.
