Conclusion

To conlude this thesis, I come back to my primary research interest in the role social media has played in shaping the political landscape of the MENA region in terms of its impact during and after the Arab Spring. Throughout this thesis, I have explored the multifaceted influence of social media on the region’s politics at both a personal and national level. It has served as a catalyst for political mobilisation, a platform for amplifying marginalised voices, a vehicle for challenging traditional media monopolies, a channel for political participation, and a tool for fostering transnational solidarity.
