Ludger Kühnhardt has never remained in one place, at one location, on one topic. With his thoughts and his journalistic and academic activities, he has repeatedly set out for new shores. He has reflected on which time-tested ideas of political order are fruitful for the future and how to reasonably encounter the ambivalences of human and political progress in the world. As a university teacher, he has primarily seen himself as an advisor to students, whom he could support in opening doors to a self-determined and responsible life.
