Parasites as Beneficial Organisms?

Since parasites can kill their hosts, they can be used, for example, in agriculture to specifically combat harmful organisms. There is also much speculation about a therapy for inflammatory diseases through infection with parasites, which influence the immune system in such a way that it no longer attacks our own tissue. However, clinical studies have not yet revealed ideal therapies.
