Chapters Three to Five assesses the importance and contribution of selected developing country ECAs to promoting their respective national exports through a systematic review of the evolutionary process of key products and service offerings and in-depth cases studies of selected ECAs. This Chapter subjects the data to a quantitative analysis of the relationship between trade performance and selected ECA intervention variables. In this Chapter, we expand on the Case Study list to cover all identifiable national and regional ECAs in developing and developed countries for which data were available (132 developing countries) for 1960 to 2016. The study shows that ECAs have significant direct impact on their host country's export performance and that the impact is amplified in markets with liberal trade policies and deep domestic financial markets.

摘要
