The Interpretational Phase: Making (Scientifically Relevant) Sense of Expert Interviews

  • Robert Kaiser

摘要

This chapter is concerned with theory-guided analysis as a precondition for interpreting the data from expert interviews. Furthermore, it reflects on the entire process of planning and conducting expert interviews and focuses on typical problems that often arise in such a project. Possible solutions are discussed, which are intended to help avoid a suboptimal yield from the analysis. This is an indispensable last step in order to review the research results in light of problems that could, at least in part, have impacted on the validity of our data.
