It is an exciting time for engineering, as we are at the beginning of an era where new work methods and environments are changing our professions daily. I learned early on in my parents’ hotel-restaurant what it means to be passionate about what you do. Especially in a family-run business, it usually means “we give everything or nothing”. To endure this in the long run, it requires an environment where you feel comfortable, trust each other and can constantly develop. This very intense time has significantly shaped my interest in contributing to environments where people can thrive.
