Low Speed Assistance
摘要
Maneuvering in low speed range up to approx. 15 km/h (parking, maneuvering, turning, etc.) is often a challenging for drivers, especially when reversing. In addition, the duration of this driving task is short compared to the total driving time and therefore the driver often lacks the necessary practice. This chapter first classifies the available assistance and automation systems according to the type of assistance and the application area in which the driver can be supported during low speed driving. The available systems are then presented and described. The special aspects of perception, planning, and control in the low speed range are discussed and exemplary approaches of their implementation are presented. Finally, an outlook is given and systems that are currently still in research and development are discussed.
