Economy
摘要
The chapter presents economy as an essential part of the culture of modern societies. As a role-based und symbolically mediated interaction system created by the exchange of economic goods, it has a profound influence on social action and the constitution of individuality. Within the framework of a cultural psychology of the economy, the phenomena of work, market, consumption, and money are particularly highlighted. As an example of a cultural psychological analysis of the modern economic world, the emotionalization of capitalism and the emotional character of goods are discussed.
