Work is No Longer a Place to Go—How the Replacement of the Office as a Workplace Creates Opportunities for the Development of Our Society and Cities
摘要
The pandemic has enabled a pace of change that was unthinkable for decades. A true paradigm shift in terms of the design and organization of work and the use of space has been set in motion. A gradual transformation through digitization has been overtaken by widespread disruption. The way we work, lead, and use physical locations to collaborate, supported by technology, has changed forever. This gives rise to opportunities and possibilities for the development of companies and organizations, our built environment in cities, and also the urban-rural structure. At the same time, the challenges, especially for the social fabric of organizations, should not be underestimated. Companies need a holistic view here to create a suitable ecosystem of possible workplaces for their employees.
