Methods of Data Analysis and Data Evaluation

Aim of the following section is to provide a detailed overview of the procedures used to analyze and evaluate the empirical data in the study at hand. This chapter details the statistical procedures used to examine the data, including exploratory factor analysis, factor extraction, reliability analysis, one-way independent analysis of variance (ANOVA), one-way independent analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), one-way repeated measures ANOVA, and one-way repeated measures ANCOVA. Analysis and evaluation procedures are theoretically elucidated before the different scales were tested. To ensure that measurement error is kept to a minimum, measurement properties that were assessed are checked on accuracy. At the end of the chapter, the effect sizes are briefly explained.
