Introduction: Values and Value Change in the Post-Migrant Society

Immigration to Germany is not a new phenomenon; moreover, its social and cultural consequences have long been discussed and researched. In this context, cultural and social values and norms and their transformation processes play a special role. Cultural pluralization is leading to an increasing diversity in terms of values and norms—which, however, cannot be attributed solely to migration processes—so that today a wider range of values and norms seems to exist than a few decades ago.
