Printing Quality Assessment

Chapter four presents an evaluation conducted to provide guidelines for producing 3D paper printed objects. The quality of the 3D printing performance and production process has been introduced by evaluating the methodology and parameters used in the production process. The quality aimed at in this chapter would take into account several aspects that are effective, from the materials used to the results for the printed geometry according to the manufacturing process, material behavior, shrinkage after drying and geometrical aspects. The challenges and solutions are also reviewed to come up with better strategies and effective optimization to achieve structural integrity with possible accurate dimensions. Other properties of the 3D printed samples have been tested such as recyclability, shape retention and stability, overhang, mixture validity time before printing, surface roughness.
