Digital Peacebuilding and PeaceTech

This chapter defines digital peacebuilding, peacetech, and terms related to the way people use technology to support human security, social cohesion, and social justice. The chapter offers short case studies of how peacebuilding organisations are using technology to scale dialogue, inclusive governance, violence prevention, strategic communication, and other processes. The chapter provides examples of types of peacetech, technology designed to support peacebuilding processes. The chapter concludes with a range of ideas to improve the development and use of peacetech.
