Selection of Potential Machine Suppliers

How does one find the suitable machine suppliers based on a created machine concept that should be considered? Costs for investment and operation should be as low as possible, while at the same time minimizing project risk and meeting high quality requirements. A significant role in HDRE machine trains is played by the wealth of experience of both the operator and the manufacturer. This chapter first provides an overview of machine manufacturers and describes the purpose, content, and implementation of quality audits. Furthermore, considerations are made regarding the criticality of the overall system from a process engineering process, the complexity of the machine train, and the involved project partners as well as the manufacturer’s references.
