Initial Commissioning

This chapter describes the measures necessary for the initial commissioning of a machine unit. Since this phase is very much dependent on the respective process technology in which it is integrated, only basic considerations can be presented here, which must be adapted to the current situation. The commissioning phase usually begins after the signing of a document for mechanical completion. It can be divided into the cold commissioning, during which the operational readiness for the production process is established, without the use of process gas, and the hot commissioning, in which the production process is started using the process gas and, if necessary, warranty runs indicate that the machine unit meets its requirements in the production process. This also includes the handover of the machine unit to the operator.
