摘要

In Chap. 3, the relationships between communication performance QoS and IoT-(Internet-of-Things-) applications are considered. The introduction explains the dependency of the quality QoC, Quality of Control, of remote control Telecontrol on transmission times. However, with the networking of critical applications such as autonomous driving, a QoC metric is not sufficient to assess the danger to humans, and the risk concept ERF (Effective Risk Factor) is applied. The relationship between the technically measurable performance parameters and the risk is established with the AoI-(Age-of-Information-) evaluation. The risk assessment is carried out for the Non-safety states of the system. This is the exceeding of permissible maximum values. Under stationary conditions and for a large number of measurements, the probability of these exceedances can be represented in the extreme value models. The theoretical foundations are described and an example is programmed with Julia.
