Quality of Experience, QoE

The first section explains the terms and metrics for evaluating multimedia transmissions (voice, video): QoE, Quality of Experience, MOS, Mean Opinion Score. Current research results on QoE-Fairness are presented. The second section deals with the models for mapping the transmission performance QoS, Quality of Service, to the QoE values. The E-model for voice transmission is the basis for approximating the QoE-QoS mapping with AI methods. For the fairness metrics discussed in the first section, the fair allocations of transmission capacities are calculated. In Sect. 2.5, suggestions are made for independent work with the provided Julia programs for the E-model approximation and fairness calculation.
