The Hildegard Lagrenne Foundation: Perspectives and Strategies for Equal Educational Participation of Roma and Sinti in Germany and Examples from the Practice of Madhouse gGmbH Munich
摘要
The establishment of the Hildegard Lagrenne Foundation for Education, Inclusion, and Participation of Sinti and Roma in Germany (HLS) in 2012 is the result of the first RomnoKher study in 2011, which, with significantly simpler means than the present study, already demonstrated in 2011 that Antiziganism and the centuries-long, ongoing discrimination significantly disadvantage Roma and Sinti. The article summarizes the most important results from the foundation's perspective and generally describes the measures and perspectives pursued in the foundation for the equal educational participation of Sinti and Roma. The second part of the article provides a detailed presentation of another practical example, the Madhouse Munich minority education and family counseling center, and compares its data collected within the framework of the anonymized case statistics with those of the RomnoKher study.
