Public Finance Application Examples

This chapter provides a collection of problems with detailed solutions that deal with public finance problems, i.e., the interaction between government and citizens. In particular, the selected problems analyze incentive mechanisms in the context of elections (median voter theorem and Clarke-Grove-mechanism), the provision of public goods, taxation and reform policy.
