The aim of this contribution is to clarify the position of artificial intelligence (AI) in the history of science and technology, and to contextualise it as part of the long history of technoscience. The paper proposes to adopt the approach of the historical epistemology of science and technology for the study of AI. Four central theses are presented to shed light on the development of algorithmic thinking and to emphasise the complex imbrication of the social, economic, technical, logical and ideological dimensions of AI.

摘要
