Introduction

This chapter provides an initial insight and overview of the book at hand. It is argued that when local actors are involved in peace processes from the beginning, it is important to keep an eye on the relationships between the involved actors. The chapter provides a brief introduction to Civil Conflict Resolution and local actors, and the reflexive research approach used for the study.
