Revolt Against Morality—Unintended Feedback Effects of Citizens
摘要
As part of a sociological diagnosis of the present, it can be attested that there is a steady increase in different moral entrepreneurs who, through discursive strategies of so-called ‘Political Correctness’, work to morally contaminate disliked everyday practices and lifestyles. Allegedly unenlightened citizens and consumers are thus making decisions that deviate from the hegemonic ideas of the ‘right mature’ behavior. They are therefore negatively evaluated with moral and educational communication and classified as ‘immature’. However, many of these consumption practices are unwanted, but they are indeed justified decisions, with which the citizen living in the age of moral pluralism wants to explicitly express his cultural preferences (e.g. ‘Meat—now more than ever!’) and demands societal participation through unintended, cybernetic feedback effects.
