From the 1920s to 1947
摘要
This chapter explores the mechanisms of nationalization in Albanian higher education during the periods of Italian and Yugoslav patronage, identifying several similarities. Using the nationalization mechanisms as both a conceptual and narrative device, the chapter examines Albanian nation-building efforts as cases of rationalization, external influences (i.e., patronages) on elite formation, student mobility, and policy transfer as cases of externalization, and threat management as cases of securitization.
